Police Break Up Wild Party At Windale

BY IAN CROUCH

Lake Macquarie police have been called in to break up a wild house party at Windale.

Around 100 teenagers aged between 16 and 18 descended on a Department of Housing property on South Street at about 7.30pm on Sunday.

Police say there were a number of underage drinkers and a DJ playing loud music and using a strobe light at the unauthorised party - they say the residents of the home were away at the time.

Officers were called back to South Street during the night to dispel groups of young people yelling and screaming in the street.

No arrests were made however the party will be referred to the Department of Housing.
