Investigations are continuing into a fire which destroyed a home at East Maitland.
Fire crews from East Maitland responded to several triple oh calls to an abandoned house in Fieldsend Street just before 2.30am on Wednesday, arriving to find the single level home well alight.
Extra crews were brought in from Maitland, Tarro, Morpeth and Rutherford.
It's taken about half an hour to contain the blaze, which destroyed about 70 percent of the home.
Officers from the Port Stephens-Hunter Police District are looking into the circumstances leading up to the blaze.
Initial inquires suggest there are no suspicious circumstances.
