Police are again urging us to be on the lookout for counterfeit notes, with another batch of fake 50's doing the rounds in the Hunter.
A forged $50 bill was picked up at the Woolworths supermarket at Beresfield on Sunday.
The store manager made the discovery while going through the takings that night.
It comes after 8 notes were found at Maitland businesses in late February and early March.
Police say the fake notes have distorted or irregular features on the window and stars on the bottom corner of the bill.
