Two Men, in Two Days, Knocked off their Bikes on The Same Newcastle Street

BY JESSICA ROUSE

In what may seem like a coincidence, two men within 24 hours have been knocked off their push bikes in Wickham.

This morning a man in his late 50s was knocked off his bike at around 10:30 by a parked car door opening in front of him on Hannell Street near Throsby Street.

He was taken to the John Hunter Hospital with injuries to his face and left arm in a stable condition.

It comes after a 75-year-old man was knocked off his bike on the same street by a car door opening at about 10:40 yesterday morning.

He was also taken to the John Hunter Hospital complaining of a neck injury as well as some cuts and grazes.

Two different ambulance paramedic crews were called to the jobs on the separate days.
