A 16-year-old girl has been flown to the spinal unit at Sydney's Royal North Shore Hospital after a gymnastics accident at Raymond Terrace.
Ambulance paramedics were called to a gym in Sturgeon Street at about 7.30pm on Tuesday where it's understood the girl had landed heavily on her back.
She was treated at the scene before being airlifted to Sydney by the Hunter's Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
