BREAKING! Police Investigate Death Of Man At Blackalls Park

Lake Macquarie Police are appealing for information into the death of a man at Blackalls Park early Friday.

Officers were called to a house in Faucett Street at about 12.50am following reports a 46-year-old man was unconscious.

Paramedics attempted to revive him; however he died at the scene.

Police have set up a crime scene as investigations surrounding the incident continue.

Anyone with information is urged to call Toronto Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

15-year-old missing from Blackalls Park for a week

Lake Macquarie Police are appealing for public help as the search for a teenager missing from Blackalls Park continues.

Kayden Field was last seen by his family in Faucett St at Blackalls Park on Wednesday 24 August.. 

Police were notified when Kayden failed to return home and have commenced an investigation to locate him. 

Concerns are held for his welfare due to his age and some recent mental health concerns. 

Kayden is described as being of slim build, 6ft tall, short dark brown hair and was last seen wearing black 'stash house' jumper with white insignia, black 'stash house' shorts, a red Champion hat, black Nike TN's. 

Kayden is known to frequent Toronto and Kotara South. 

Anyone with information about his disappearance is being urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

BREAKING! Plumber Accused Of Stabbing Workmate At Blackalls Park

A plumber is due to face court today accused of stabbing a colleague on a construction site at Blackalls Park.

Police say the 39-year-old had issues with work completed by his workmate at the Faucett Street site on Monday afternoon, with the pair having a heated conversation over the phone.

The 33-year-old man returned to the site where an argument between the pair became physical before the older man allegedly stabbed his younger colleague in the arm with a knife.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to the John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.

Police stopped the older man's vehicle at Boolaroo where he was arrested.

He's been refused bail to face Toronto Local Court today (Tuesday 31 August 2021) charged with wound with intent and affray.

Pizza Oven Blamed For House Fire At Blackalls Park

Firefighters have been called to reports of a house fire at Blackalls Park this morning.

Crews were called to a home on Rose Street just before 6.00am on Monday to find a detached pergola on fire.

Newcastle Fire Command says an adjacent pizza oven had been left on which sparked the blaze.

Firefighters managed to douse the flames before they could spread to the home.

No-one was injured.

The pergola was destroyed.
