Hunter Schools Do Well In Naplan Tests

BY IAN CROUCH

Hunter schools have scored above average in the latest Naplan results out today.

Reduction in class sizes and the employment of extra staff has contributed to better learning outcomes for students.

Year 5 students at Mount Hutton Public School have had above average gains in numeracy compared to when they were in Year 3 thanks to smaller class sizes and personalised learning.

Other schools who've done well in reading and numeracy include Elermore Vale Public, Charlestown South Public, St Columban's at Mayfield, Maitland Christian School, Charlton Christian College and All Saints College at Maitland.
