Woman Charged Over Road Rage Incident at Lake Munmorah

A Newcastle woman at the centre of a road rage incident at Lake Munmorah on Monday has now been charged by police.

The 21-year-old Bianca Lee Sams is accused of throwing a packet of nails and a chisel at a vehicle which she claimed had been tailgating the car she was in on the Pacific Highway.

It's alleged a 41-year-old man in the other vehicle punched the woman in the face when they stopped at traffic lights.

The woman is due to face court on September 6 charged with malicious damage, being armed with intent to commit indictable offence, intentionally throw object at vehicle risk safety, part of body outside window - passenger and passenger seatbelt not fastened.

The 41-year-old man was charged on Wednesday in relation to the same incident.
