Police Release Images Of Persons Of Interest Over Morisset Break-In

Lake Macquarie Police are investigating several aggravated break-ins and vehicle thefts at Morisset.

CCTV images show three men rifling through filing cabinets at a commercial premises at about 2.15am on Monday this week.

Several motor vehicles were also stolen during the break-in.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Man Injured During Dudley Break-In

A man has been left with serious leg injuries after a break-in at Dudley over the weekend.

Police say four people forced their way into a home on Tumut Street around 4.00am on Saturday and attempted to steal a motorbike.

They were confronted by neighbours and following a struggle, fled in a vehicle, striking a 42-year-old man.

He was taken to the John Hunter Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police say the four culprits were males aged between 15 and 20 who fled in a turquoise-coloured Volkswagen T-Cross.

Would-Be Thieves Smash Their Way Into Salt Ash Service Station

Police are investigating a break and enter at a Salt Ash service station early Monday morning.

Officers were called to the unattended Ampol outlet on Nelson Bay Road just before 4.00am to find the front plate glass windows had been smashed.

Police say the intruders made an unsuccessful attempt to gain access to a cigarette cupboard behind the console operator's station.

It's not clear at this stage if anything was taken.

Investigators are examining CCTV footage in a bid to identify those responsible and are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Anna Bay Woman Dies After Her Home Allegedly Broken Into

Police have charged a woman over a break and enter at Anna Bay during which a resident suffered a medical episode and died.

It's alleged the woman went to the home on Old Main Road at about 11pm on Tuesday and spoke with the two female occupants who were known to her.

Police say she left before returning about an hour later and climbed through a window before being escorted out the front door by a 37-year-old resident.

The other resident, a 59-year-old woman suffered a medical episode during the incident and was taken to the John Hunter Hospital but died a short time later.

The 47-year-old alleged offender was arrested nearby and has been granted conditional bail to face Raymond Terrace Court on November 23.

The woman has not been charged over the death.

Five People Charged Over Muswellbrook Winery Break In

Five people have been charged following an alleged break-in at a Hunter Valley winery on Monday night.

At About 6.20pm, an alarm was activated from inside a winery located on Hunter Street, Muswellbrook.

Officers from Hunter Valley Police District responded and found two vehicles parked outside with boxes of wine nearby.

During an external check of the property, police heard voices and saw torch lights inside.

Officers entered the building and found a man in the barrel room.

The 27-year-old was arrested and taken outside where a further three people – a 23-year-old woman and two men, aged 23 and 33 – were also arrested

All four people were taken to Muswellbrook Police Station.

Following inquiries, officers arrested a fifth person, a 22-year-old man, just before 9.30pm at a fast food restaurant in Muswellbrook.

He was also taken to Muswellbrook Police Station.

All five were charged with aggravated break, enter and steal, enter enclosed lands, and malicious damage.

They will appear at Muswellbrook Local Court on Monday 26 October 2020.

Man Caught Red-Handed After Break-in At Raymond Terrace Pharmacy

A man is due front court today accused of stealing drugs from a Raymond Terrace pharmacy.

Police say patrons of a local hotel noticed a man kicking in the windows at the Cincotta Chemist on Benjamin Lee Drive just after 8.30pm on Tuesday.

Officers arrived a short time later and arrested a 22-year-old man from Raymond Terrace.

He was allegedly in possession of Benzodiazepine tranquilliser drugs taken from the pharmacy.

The man's been refused bail to face Raymond Terrace Local Court today (Wednesday) charged with break, enter and steal.

Footage Released in Broadmeadow Break-In Investigation

CCTV footage has been released as detectives work to track down two men who broke into a Broadmeadow home and assaulted a man two months ago.

Around midday on July 11, the men forced entry into a unit in a complex on the corner of Young Road and Market Street where they attacked the 31-year-old occupant before fleeing the scene.

Later that day, the injured man presented to John Hunter Hospital with head injuries and police were notified. He has since been released from hospital.

Strike Force Raptor North detectives have now released footage and images of two men they believe can assist with inquiries.

Both men are depicted as being of solid and medium build, wearing high-visibility clothing and dark caps.

Detectives are also appealing for information about a silver Toyota Camry seen in the area at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information, including relevant photos and videos, can report it directly to the Strike Force via the online reporting page.

UPDATE! Police Seek Information over Muswellbrook Break In

A man is due to face court accused of breaking into the Muswellbrook Workers Club.

Police say a man gained access to the Sydney Street club around 2 o'clock on Thursday morning and removed cash from the office area before leaving.

Around 1.30pm on Thursday police went to an address on Scott Street at Muswellbrook and arrested a 34-year-old man.

He was taken to Muswellbrook Police Station and been charged with break, enter and steal.

He's been refused bail to front Muswellbrook Local Court today (Friday 19 July 2019).


EARLIER:

Police are searching for a man who broke into a Muswellbrook club in the early hours of Thursday morning. 

The man is believed to have entered the Sydney Street club at 2am this morning, he then went through the office area taking cash from a safe before leaving the club. 

The scene was attended by Hunter Valley Police District who are appealing for public assistance.

Anyone who noticed suspicious activity in the area on the evening of Wednesday 17 July or in the early hours of Thursday morning is urged to  contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333. 

Couple Arrested At Muswellbrook Wrecking Yard

A Muswellbrook couple have a date in court after they were allegedly caught red-handed breaking into a local motor wrecking yard.

A security guard noticed the 42-year-old man and 40-year-old woman on the premises in Common Road at about 7.00pm on Tuesday and called police.

The pair were quickly arrested and taken back to Muswellbrook Police Station where they were charged with enter property with intent to commit indictable offence, possessing house breaking implements and trespassing.

They've been granted bail to face Muswellbrook Local Court on February 18.

BREAKING! Early Morning Break-In And High Speed Pursuit At Salt Ash

Police are investigating a break and enter and a subsequent high speed pursuit at Port Stephens.

A shop was broken into on Gan Gan Road at Anna Bay just before 4 o'clock this morning (Wednesday 24 October, 2018) - it's understood up to 3 people were involved.

About 15 minutes later, police noticed a Silver Ford Ranger twin cab ute without number plates which was used in the break-in on Nelson Bay Road at Salt Ash and gave chase.

The pursuit continued for only a couple of minutes, reaching speeds of up to 140 kilometres per hour in an 80 zone but was terminated when the driver crossed to the wrong side of the road.

Couple Confront Intruder In Their Valentine Home

The occupants of a Valentine home have confronted a man during an overnight break-in.

It's alleged a 35-year-old man forced open a locked door at a home on Morinda Crescent just after 11.30 last night ht and stole a small amount of cash.

A couple living there found the man rummaging through their belongings and he ran off.

A police dog tracked him to nearby bushland where he was arrested.

He's expected to face Newcastle Local Court today charged with break, enter and steal.

Thieves Target Lake Macquarie Service Station For Second Time This Week

A Lake Macquarie service station has been the target of a break-in for the second night in a row.

Thieves forced their way into the Shell outlet on Oxford Street just before 2.30am on Wednesday and stole a large amount of cigarettes.

No staff were there at the time.

Cigarettes were also taken from the service station on Tuesday night during another after-hours break-in.

The service station was the target of a similar break-in last month.
