A man remains under police guard in hospital after he allegedly threatened a woman at Cardiff on Monday night.
Police were called to a home on Darcy Road at about 9.30pm on Monday September 29 to reports a man was making threats to a 37-year-old woman.
It's alleged the man entered the home, smashing a window as the three residents fled into the backyard.
He was arrested a short time later after a struggle with officers in nearby Kirby Street after he allegedly failed to comply with a police direction.
The man was taken to Belmont Police Station and then to the John Hunter Hospital for assessment of a suspected arm injury.
Police none of the residents required medical treatment.
