Several high ranking motorcycle gang members have been charged in relation to what police believe was a targeted attack at Belmont North last month.
Lake Macquarie Police were called to a home in Marian Place just before 2am on Sunday February 23 to reports a group of men had attempted to force their way inside.
A 38-year-old man later presented to hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his abdomen.
Three men aged in their 20s were arrested yesterday at a property in Liverpool and hit with a number of charges including aggravated break and enter with intent in company, affray and conceal serious indictable offence of other.
They're set to face court today.
A 47-year-old man was also arrested at Moorebank and charged after police located a cannabis plant and slingshot, while a fifth man was arrested at John Hunter Hospital.
They're both due to front court at a later date.
