A young motorcyclist has been heavily fined after being caught riding an unregistered motorbike at Lake Munmorah.
A Highway Patrol crew spotted a blue Yamaha GSX motorbike on the Pacific Highway at about 9.00am on Saturday.
It's alleged the 19-year-old rider was not wearing a helmet of any kind.
Police say the young man produced a NSW heavy vehicle licence but wasn't licensed to ride a motorcycle.
It's also alleged the motorbike was uninsured and had not been registered since December 2021.
The teen was issued fines totaling $3134.
