Hunter New England leads health districts in new cases

Hunter New England recorded 1,550 new COVID cases today and two deaths.

637 of those cases were from PCR tests and 913 were from RAT tests. 

Sadly, a man from Cessnock and a man from Newcastle have died.

One was in his 60s and one was in his 80s.

The health district is now caring for 47 cases in hospital, with four people in intensive care.

Across New South Wales, health has recorded 10,312 new COVID cases and 20 deaths.

This brings the State to 1,906  cases in hospital, with 132 in intensive care.

44.8 percent of adults have now received three shots of a COVID-19 vaccine.
