A man has a date in court later this month after a crash at Kotara South on Sunday night.
Police say the 39-year-old Cardiff man was driving north on Charlestown Road just before 9.30pm when his Volkswagon Station Wagon drifted onto the wrong side of the road on a bend, clipping an oncoming Toyota Corolla with two females on board before pulling over about 200 metres down the road.
The man was taken to Belmont Police Station where it's alleged he returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.229, more than 4 times the legal limit.
He's due to face Belmont Court on December 22 charged with high range drink driving.
Police say no-one was injured in the crash.
