Police have confirmed Doris Wheeler has been found safe and well.

EARLIER:

Police are seeking assistance to find an elderly woman missing from Lakelands since Tuesday morning.

Doris Wheeler was last seen at Gosforth Grove at around 11 o'clock.

The 99-year-old lives with dementia and there are concerns for her welfare due to her age and condition.

Doris is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 154cm tall with a slim build and grey hair.

Anyone who may have seen Doris or has information about her whereabouts is urged to call Triple Zero (000) or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Fears Held For Missing Waratah Woman

Police have concerns for the welfare of a Waratah woman who hasn't been seen in more than three weeks.

40-year-old Natalie Victorsen was last seen by her mother on Tuesday 5 September in Mayfield.

Police and Natalie's family are especially concerned because she suffers from a medical condition.

She is known to visit the Jesmond, Shortland and Waratah areas.

Natalie is described as being Caucasian with a fair complexion, brown hair and brown eyes and between 165 and 170 centimetres tall.

Missing Newcastle woman FOUND

In a search lasting no longer than three hours, missing Newcastle woman Sandie Stapleton has been found.

The 38-year old was reported missing after wandering into bushland at Jesmond on Robinson Avenue at about 11am yesterday.

There were strong concerns for her safety as she suffers from a brain injury.

Police rescue officers coordinated a search with the help of PolAir, police on trail bikes, the Dog Unit and NSW SES.

In the end it was a tip off from a member of the community which lead police to Sandie Stapleton.
