Thefts From Cars Prompts Warning
BY IAN CROUCH
Newcastle Police have issued a warning in the wake of a spike in thefts from cars across the city.
Officers say thieves are targeting cars which are often unlocked.
They say motorists can avoid becoming a target by keeping cash and valuables out of sight, locking your car every time you leave it and making sure the windows are up.
They also urge drivers to never leave keys in the ignition - even for just a minute or two.
