Police Still Searching For Second Man Involved in Mount Hutton Shooting

Police are currently still searching for a second man involved in a public place shooting at Lake Macquarie on Tuesday afternoon.

A crime scene was established just after 2pm.

It’s understood two men were outside a home on Kariboo Lane, Mount Hutton, when an argument ensued and one of the men retreated inside the home.

Police have been told the second man then discharged a firearm towards the property before fleeing the scene.

The man inside the home received a minor injury.

It’s understood the men are known to each other.

Police are currently conducting inquiries into the whereabouts of the second man.

Shots Fired in Mayfield

Investigations are being conducted into an incident of shots being fired in Mayfield.

Police were called to Hanbury Street around 1:45pm yesterday where they set up a crime scene.

A man and woman were at the location but were not injured during the incident.

Newcastle City Local Area Command would like to speak to a 20 year old man who is believed to have been at the scene at the time.
