Police Investigate Tyre Slashing Incidents At Mayfield

BY IAN CROUCH

Police are stepping up patrols around Mayfield following reports of tyres being slashed over the weekend.

Residents in Margaret, Mounter and Selwyn Streets woke on Sunday morning to find their cars vandalised.

It comes after around a dozen vehicles had their tyres slashed several weeks ago at Tighes Hill and two years after a series of tyre slashings in which 130 vehicles were damaged in a four-month period.
