Driver rescued after being pinned by tree at Singleton

A woman has been rescued at Singleton, after her car was struck by a tree and she was pinned in the vehicle.

A rescue pumper from Singleton Fire Station joined police, ambulance crews and SES personnel at the scene in John Street around 5.15pm on Monday afternoon.

It's believed the tree was felled by a wild storm which struck the area.

Emergency crews used a chainsaw to remove parts of the toppled tree to reach and free the driver.

The woman suffered a sore shoulder and cuts in the incident, and was transported to hospital for treatment to her injuries. 

Woman Trapped in Three Car Crash On John Renshaw Drive

Paramedics worked to  free a woman trapped in her vehicle in a three car crash on John Renshaw Drive at Black Hill on Friday. 

The crash occurred at 8.39am on Friday morning near Buttai Road, trapping an 19-year-old woman in her car. 

She's reportedly suffered neck injuries. 

Traffic conditions have returned to normal. 

Worker Trapped Under Dump Truck At Port Stephens

The Port Stephens SES Unit has been called to rescue a person trapped under dump truck.

Emergency services were called to the Resource Recovery Centre on New Line Road, Raymond Terrace at about 4.00pm on Tuesday.

It's understood a worker was doing maintenance on a 6 wheel Moxy dump truck when he became trapped under one of the wheels.

The SES crew used heavy lifting equipment to free the person who was trapped for about 45 minutes before being taken to hospital with unspecified injuries.
