Two Teen Girls Missing From Western Sydney Could Be In Lake Macquarie

Police believe two girls reported missing from western Sydney could be in the Lake Macquarie area.

15-year-old Billie Valkay-Kruss and 14-year-old Taylor Swift were last seen in West Hoxton around 10pm on Thursday October 23.

Billie is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 150cm tall with a thin build and short brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a grey hoodie with pink writing, black tracksuit pants and was carrying a large black duffle bag.

Taylor's described as being Caucasian, about 150cm tall with a thin build an long black hair.

She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black tracksuit pants, white shoes and carrying a black bag.

Police believe the pair could be in the Bonnells Bay area.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

Bonnells Bay Home Destroyed By Fire

A young family has escaped with their lives after fire engulfed a home at Bonnells Bay on Thursday night.

Newcastle Fire Command says they were called to the two-level home in Wood Street at about 6.45pm to find a fire which is believed to have started in a caravan adjacent to the property had quickly spread to the house.

Police say the six occupants of the home were evacuated without injury.

Fire and Rescue Acting Superintendent Matt Sigmund says crews mounted a search and rescue operation following initial reports of a person trapped inside.

"Subsequent inquires confirmed all persons had evacuated the dwelling," he said.

It's taken more than 5 hours to extinguish the blaze.

Two crews remain at the scene on Friday morning to extinguish hot spots.

A crime scene has been established, and police and fire investigators will be called in later this morning to determine the cause of the fire.

Bonnells Bay Man Faces Drug Possession Charge

A man is due to face court next month charged with drug possession following a search of a home at Bonnells Bay.

Officers went to a residence on St Clair Street as part of an ongoing investigation.

It's alleged a search of the property uncovered a firearm, machete, several knives, three motorbikes and cannabis with an estimated street value of just over $2000.

Police issued a 24-year-old man with a court attendance notice for drug possession.

He'll face Toronto Local Court on June 18.

Man Wanted Over Alleged Bonnells Bay Theft

Lake Macquarie police have released CCTV footage and are appealing for information to identify a man who is believed to have stolen several items from a Bonnells Bay Shopping Centre on the 6th of June.

Shoppers allegedly attempted to stop the man from escaping the scene in an older model black Subaru.

Anyone with information which may help identify the man is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

UPDATE!: Hunt on for Ute Hijacker who Rammed a Police Car in Bonnells Bay

Police have released the name of the man they say was behind the wheel of car which rammed a police vehicle on Monday afternoon at Bonnells Bay.

Officers began pursuing a Mercedes on Regent Street just before 2.30pm before the driver allegedly rammed their vehicle.

The driver then abandoned the car and threatened the driver of a nearby utility before stealing the car with the owner still inside.

Police have since found the ute and the 20-year-old driver, however they're still looking for the hijacker.

He's 27-year-old Adam Gilham.

EARLIER:

Police are searching for a man who rammed a police vehicle and then hijacked a car in Bonnells Bay.
A Mercedes failed to stop on Regent Street just before 2:30 today.

A police pursuit of the car shortly became dangerous and was terminated after the police car was rammed on Fishery Point Road. The officers inside were uninjured.

The man abandoned the Mercedes and then hijacked a nearby Toyota Hilux ute. Police say the driver, aged in his 20s and wearing a hi-vis vest, was still inside the vehicle when he was threatened and had his car stolen.

The PolAir unit and the Dog Unit are searching for the man.

Anyone who may have seen the white 2019 Toyota Hilux with registration EGR36C should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. The ute has 'CDA Group' written in green and black on the side.

It was last spotted on Grand Parade, Bonnells Bay, heading toward Fishery Point Road.

Police are looking to speak with a man described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his mid-20s, with short dark hair, and a medium build At the time, he was wearing a dark grey shirt and long black pants.

Alleged Drink Driver Threatens Police At Bonnells Bay

Lake Macquarie police have a charged a man with High Range Drink Driving after he crashed his car at Bonnells Bay.

Police say the 36-year-old lost control of his Holden Commodore Station Wagon on Princes Street at about 4.30pm on Wednesday and crashed into telegraph pole, bringing down live power lines.

It's alleged the man threatened to touch the wires and assault police.

He's been charged with a range of offences including high range PCA, driving while suspended and resisting arrest.

The man's been granted strict conditional bail to face Toronto Court on October 13.
