Bulahdelah Bikie Charged As Part Of Operation Morpheus

A man from Bulahdelah is one of 74 people arrested in NSW, as part of a five-day national crack-down on outlaw motorcycle gang activities.

Raptor Squad Detectives took part in Operation Morpheus last week, which involved officers from every state and territory in Australia.

Among those arrested was the 49-year-old from Bulahdelah, who was allegedly found in possession of three guns, two replica firearms, ammunition, a crossbow, knives and Comancheros paraphernalia.

Police also uncovered cannabis plants, 5kg of dried marijuana, and cannabis products inside two tents at the man's home.

He's been charged with 19 weapons and drug supply counts.

Bikie Arrested in Muswellbrook After Extortion Investigation

An Upper Hunter member of the Comanchero outlaw motorcycle gang has been arrested among four others over an alleged extortion attempt against a fellow bikie. 

Strike Force Raptor officers launched investigations in August after a 51-year-old man was seriously assaulted and had his house set on fire as part of the alleged extortion.

Yesterday, police executed search warrants at 10 properties across the state, at Mudgee, Dubbo, Gulgong, Yarrawonga, and Muswellbrook seizing 14 firearms and prohibited drugs.

A 47-year-old bikie was arrested in Muswellbrook and charged with gun offences - He'll face court in January.

Criminal Groups Squad Commander, Detective Superintendent Deborah Wallace, praised the work of officers.

“Strike Force Raptor is relentless in its pursuit to disrupt the activities of OMCG members that pose a risk to the community at large,” Det Supt Wallace said.

“We will not tolerate any form of thuggery and will continue to knock on their doors and put them in the back of police cars until these criminal groups are dismantled.

“Anyone in the community who has information on organised criminal activity across the state, we want to hear from you.”

Nomads Bikie Arrested Following Cooks Hill Shooting

A member of the Nomads outlaw bikie gang has been arrested at a unit on Darby Street, Cooks Hill, where police found an unregistered firearm.

It comes after officers received reports of a shooting on the street around 2:30am last Wednesday morning, where no one was injured.

Officers from Newcastle City Police District attended and located bullet holes in the exterior of an apartment block.

Following investigations, police searched a 42-year-old man's unit on Friday afternoon and discovered the .45 calibre handgun alongside a beanie with eyeholes cut out.

The Nomads bikie has been charged with several offences as Strike Force Raptor detectives continue their inquiries.

The man is facing Newcastle Local Court today.
