MORISSET – New Fire Station Opened

Morisset Fire Station has celebrated 40 years of service to the community with the official opening of upgraded facilities at the weekend.

Dozens of local families were treated to displays and demonstrations to celebrate the occasion.

The upgrades include new male and female locker rooms as part of the spruce up at the station

Fire and Rescue Commissioner Jeremy Fewtrell told the crowd it will help the local crew better serve their community.

“This is an area that’s changing, and we’ll continue to adapt and change and provide the service the community needs.

“We’ve invested $800,000 to provide contemporary facilities … setting it up for the 40 years ahead,” he said.
