Southbound traffic on the M1 Pacific Motorway is being disrupted this morning because of cows on the road at Bushells Ridge south of Wyee.
Emergency services were called to a single car crash on the freeway at about 3.10am on Wednesday - it's understood the vehicle was unable to avoid a collision with one of the animals.
The driver wasn't injured and the car has since been towed away.
RFS crews managed to corral three cows on the median strip near Bushells Ridge Road.
The owner has arrived to retrieve the animals and the southbound lanes are being closed for a short time to allow for the safe removal of the cows.
