Two people have been taken to hospital following a house fire at Muswellbrook on Monday night.
Fire crews from Muswellbrook and Aberdeen along with the Edinglassie RFS were called to the home in Henry Dangar Drive just after 9.30pm to find thick smoke issuing from the house.
They assisted two residents from the property and discovered a dishwasher had caught fire.
Crews quickly extinguished the fire and ventilated the home.
The occupants suffered smoke inhalation and were taken to Muswellbrook Hospital in a stable condition.
