Teen Girl Dies In Pedestrian Accident At Brandy Hill

A 15-year-old girl has been tragically killed after being hit by a car this morning at Brandy Hill.

Port Stephens police were called to Warrigal Close at about 7.30am.

Paramedics worked to revive the girl, but she died at the scene.

A man in his 40's who was driving the car has been taken for mandatory testing and is assisting police with their inquiries.

Pedestrian Killed in Port Stephens Identity Remains a Mystery

Police are still appealing for the help in identifying a man who was run over in Port Stephens over the weekend.

Emergency services were called to Nelson Bay Road at Fullerton Cove just after 9pm on Saturday after a pedestrian was struck by a Toyota Camry.

The man tragically died at the scene.

A report is being prepared for the Coroner.

A crime scene was established by officers from Port Stephens Hunter Police District.

The driver, a 19-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for mandatory tests.

The man who was killed is being described as being of Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 60s with balding grey hair. He was wearing a dark blue jumper and black shorts, along with black socks and thongs.

He had no identification on him and only a small amount of cash and a receipt from a transaction at a Stockton supermarket at 6pm the previous day, Saturday January 20.

Police are reappealing for the public's help this morning and anyone with any information is being urged to come forward.

Pedestrian Killed At Belmont

A pedestrian has been killed after being struck by a car at Belmont.

The 79-year-old man was crossing the Pacific Highway near the intersection of Ada Street at about 8.45pm on Thursday when he was hit by a Toyota Hilux.

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene but were unable to revive the man.

A 55-year-old man who was driving the Hilux was uninjured - he was taken to Belmont Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A report is being prepared for the Coroner.

Woman Killed in Wallsend Overnight

UPDATE:

A woman has tragically died after being hit by a car in Wallsend.

The 21-year-old was walking on west along Minmi Road with two male friends just after 11pm last night when she was struck by a Holden Astra Sedan.

She was treated at the scene and then rushed to the John Hunter Hospital with serious head injuries but sadly couldn't be saved.

One of her friends received a minor leg injury but didn't require further treatment.

The 18-year-old driver of the car is assisting police with their inquiries.

A report is being prepared for the Coroner.

EARLIER: 

A pedestrian has tragically died after being hit by a car in Wallsend overnight.

Two people, a man and a woman, were walking along Minmi Road just after 11pm last night when the woman was hit by a car.

The 21-year-old was taken to the John Hunter Hospital but sadly she couldn't be saved.

The driver of the car, a male, was taken to hospital as well for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Investigations are continuing.
