Hunter Valley police are searching for two men who broke into a motorbike shop at Muswellbrook overnight.
The pair broke into the Marshall Motorsport store on Sydney Street at about 2.00am and stole four trail bikes.
They wheeled them into a large storm water drain nearby but fled when they were disturbed by witnesses who called police.
The bikes have been seized for forensic examination.
