The Buckets Way at Booral has re-opened to traffic overnight following a serious car crash.
Police say a car left the road and hit a tree at about 12.30pm on Thursday.
A female passenger went into cardiac arrest and was resuscitated at the scene - she was flown to the John Hunter Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A male and female in the car were treated at the scene and transported by road ambulance to the John Hunter with non-life threatening injuries.
The Buckets Way was closed for 7 hours while crash investigators examined the scene.
