A man is due to face court today (Tuesday 27 May, 2025) over an alleged armed robbery on a Stockton hotel.
It's alleged the 30-year-old entered the Boatrowers Hotel on Fullerton Street just before 8.00pm on Saturday and threatened patrons before demanding cash from staff.
It's further alleged he stabbed a 68-year-old man during the incident - the victim left the hotel and later attended John Hunter Hospital for treatment.
Patron held the 30-year-old until Police arrived.
It's alleged he had several weapons on him including a gel blaster firearm.
He's been charged with five offences including robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon and wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The man's been refused bail to face Newcastle Local Court today.
