After more than 50 years, the Mattara Festival is being moved to Newcastle's western suburbs.
The festival was first held at Newcastle Foreshore in 1961, but organisers have decided to move it to Wallsend Park this year.
Organisers say Wallsend Park offers a more central and convenient location for families to attend and allows them to expand the festival.
The festival runs from September 30 until October 8.
