Man in Critical Condition After Crashing into Ditch, Trapped in Vehicle At Polkobin

Emergency services have been called to the scene of a serious single vehicle crash in the Hunter Valley on Friday morning. 

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter and ambulance crews arrived at the scene at Polkobin just after 6.30am.

A car reportedly veered off the road crashing into a fence and a ditch, trapping a 51-year-old male driver, who suffered multiple traumatic injuries. 

Local Ambulance Paramedics and Emergency Services commenced treatment, after working extensively to cut the driver from the vehicle. 

He was flown to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition.

Woman In Critical Condition After Crashing Into Pole at Minmi

A woman has been transported to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition after crashing into a pole at Minmi.

Four ambulance crews and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter arrived on scene of the serious single vehicle incident on Woodford Street, just after 11 o'clock on Wednesday morning.

A 43-year-old woman driver became trapped in her vehicle, suffering multiple traumatic injuries and was removed by emergency crews.

There are currently no reports of further injuries to any other patients.

Man Sustains Multiple Traumatic Injuries In Serious Two-Car Crash in Lake Macquarie

A man has been transported to John Hunter Hospital, suffering multiple traumatic injuries during a serious two car crash at Awaba on Thursday. 

Just before 8:30am this morning the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and emergency services attended the scene on Wilton Road, with reports a 26-year-old man was trapped in his vehicle. 

Its believed he sustained serious leg, head and abdominal injuries.

Once released the man was flown to the John Hunter Hospital in a serious but stable condition. 

It's believed a woman in her 20's also sustained chest injuries during the incident.

Witnesses Sought To Serious M1 Crash At Mooney Mooney

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious crash on the M1 at Mooney Mooney.

A southbound Volkswagon Golf spun out of control and hit a rock wall just after 9.30am on Monday.

The 18-year-old male driver managed to free himself but his 18-year-old female passenger was trapped and suffered serious leg and abdominal injuries.

The driver holds a suspended provisional licence and has been charged with 4 offences including dangerous driving.

He's been refused bail to face Gosford Court today (Tuesday 5 May 2020).

Police are urging witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage of the crash to contact Crime Stoppers.
