Girl Approached At Kurri Kurri

Police are asking for help to identify a man who approached a teenage girl at Kurri Kurri.

The 14-year-old was walking to school along Mitchell Street at about 8.00am on Tuesday when a man in a white sedan pulled up beside her and had what police describe as an unsettling conversation with her.

The girl declined an offer of a lift and reported the incident when she got to school.

The man's described as being in his 50's with blonde hair and was wearing a white t-shirt.

Anyone who saw the car or noticed the interaction is urged to call Cessnock Police.

Police Hunt Stockton Pizza Shop Bandits

Police have issued a description of two men wanted over a brazen robbery on a restaurant at Stockton.

Police say the pair walked into the Pirate Point Pizza outlet on Mitchell Street at about 5.00pm on Thursday afternoon and threatened a female employee.

The pair stole cash and the woman's mobile phone before making their getaway in a car parked outside the restaurant.

The woman wasn't injured during the incident.

One of the men is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his mid-20s, 178cm tall, with a large build, and was last seen wearing a white hooded jumper and black sunglasses.

The other man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his late 20s, 185cm tall, with a thin build, and was last seen wearing a blue hooded jumper.
