A man has been granted strict conditional bail and will appear at Newcastle Local Court later this month after an alleged incident in a bathroom at a university building.
Newcastle Police District received reports a 23 year old man allegedly filmed women in a bathroom at the University of Newcastle's city campus on Monday 29 April 2024.
Extensive investigations led officers to a home at Fletcher, where they arrested the man around 9am on Thursday 9 May 2024.
He was taken to Waratah Police Station and charged with intentionally recording intimate images without consent.
He is set to face court on Thursday 30 May 2024.
