Police have charged a man following an aggravated robbery at Nelson Bay in March.
Strike Force Bromsgrove was established following reports of multiple aggravated robbery related incidents in March.
In one incident, early on Thursday March 27, police were told five unknown men dressed in dark clothing and face coverings allegedly threatened the occupants of a home on Salamander Way with firearms and a knife.
They allegedly demanded drugs before stealing smartphones, a luxury handbag and hat.
Offenders then fled the scene in a white four wheel drive.
Following extensive inquiries, about midday yesterday strike force detectives arrested a 31-year-old man in Ultimo.
He was refused bail to face court today, charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon among other charges.
