Police have charged a man with deliberately setting fire to a home in southern Lake Macquarie in what police allege is a domestic violence-related incident.
About 1.30pm on Friday May 23, emergency services were called to the home on Dunvegan Street at Mannering Park following reports of a house fire.
Police found a 64-year-old man suffering an arm injury and rendered first aid before he was taken to hospital.
The fire was deemed suspicious, prompting an investigation
The man was arrested following his release from hospital on Tuesday June 3.
He's been charged with damaging property by fire or explosive and refused bail.
