Tambourine Rescue At Cessnock

BY IAN CROUCH

Members of the Cessnock Volunteer Rescue Association have been called out to a delicate rescue overnight.

A little boy had somehow managed to pull a tambourine over his head, but young Heath and his parents couldn't get it off again.

The VRA came to the rescue, using a special tool to cut through the timber rim of the tambourine so it could be spread wide enough to get over the little boy's head.

They used a towel to protect Heath from flying sawdust and to deaden the noise while they distracted him with his iPad.
