Police believe wet weather may have been a factor in a fatal smash near Rutherford last night.
A 19-year-old man from Rutherford was driving his white Holden Commodore along Old Maitland Road at Bishops Bridge at about 9.00pm when the car crossed to the wrong side of the road and hit a power pole.
Emergency services arrived to find he'd died at the scene.
The young man was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
